Taylor Swift has displayed her heartfelt empathy by making two donations of $50,000 each to a GoFundMe campaign dedicated to supporting the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a beloved DJ in Kansas City.

Lopez-Galvan was joyously celebrating the Chiefs’ triumph alongside her husband, son, and daughter when the tragic incident occurred, claiming her life. The shooting also left twenty-two others injured, including children present at the parade.

With a poignant message of condolence, Taylor Swift wrote, “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.” A representative for Swift confirmed that she indeed made the generous contributions.

The initial aim of the fundraising campaign was to raise $75,000 to provide financial assistance to Lopez-Galvan’s grieving family as they navigate through this profound tragedy. As of Friday morning, the campaign had already exceeded its goal, with over $182,000 raised.

This act of kindness is not the first time Taylor Swift has shown her support for victims of senseless violence. In 2018, she made a charitable donation on behalf of shooting victims to the March for Our Lives movement, emphasizing the need for comprehensive gun reform and stating that no one should have to live in fear of gun violence.

While currently on her “Eras Tour” in Melbourne, Australia, Swift’s compassionate gesture demonstrates the depth of her care and concern. Likewise, Chiefs player Kelce expressed his heartfelt sorrow over the shooting, stating, “I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me.”
