Victoria Jackson, a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” from 1986 to 1992, recently shared on social media that she has been diagnosed with an inoperable tumor in her windpipe. She explained that doctors are unable to surgically remove the tumor, which is pressing on her windpipe and could eventually cause her to suffocate.
Jackson mentioned that she will be starting a new treatment. “They’re giving me a magic pill,” she said, referring to her medication. “It’s expected to arrive at my door within the next 12 hours. The treatment is based on Ribociclib, and it’s supposed to shrink the tumor, hopefully… I did some research online, and it seems that people who take this have a life expectancy of about 32.6 months.”
Reflecting on her life, Jackson told her followers that she’s had a “fantastic life” and shared some of the milestones she hopes to witness in the future. She also previously revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016.
“I’d love to see my grandson Jimmy be born in October and spend some time getting to know him. I’d also love to see my daughter Aubrey have a baby,” she shared.
During her time on “Saturday Night Live,” Jackson was a regular on “Weekend Update” and was known for her impressions of celebrities like Roseanne Barr and Zsa Zsa Gabor. Her acting career includes roles in episodes of “The X-Files,” “In the Heat of the Night,” “Sesame Street,” and more. She also appeared in films such as “Family Business” and “The Matchbreaker.”
